Here at Mock Draft Central, the start of the Major League Baseball season means one thing: it`s time to start thinking about fantasy football.
We`ll wait until completion of the 2008 NFL Draft to really turn things on. In the meantime, here are some facts from the Top 100 players listed in MDC`s draft software.
Four teams -- the Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers -- list five players each, which accounts for 20 percent of the overall Top 100.
On the flipside, three teams -- the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans -- list one player each, running backs Cedric Benson, Ronnie Brown and LenDale White respectively.
Six teams, including the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants, list four players each.
Ten teams list three players each.
Nine teams list two players each.
The first listed running back: Ladainian Tomlinson of the Chargers (first overall).
The first listed quarterback: Tom Brady of the Patriots (seventh overall).
The first listed wide receiver: Randy Moss of the Patriots (eighth overall).
The first listed tight end: Antonio Gates of the Chargers (41st overall).
There are no kickers or defenses/special teams listed in the Top 100.
